Ingredients:
1 can (400g) of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 carrot, grated
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs (use gluten-free if needed)
1/4 cup of nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed mixed with 5 tablespoons of water (flax egg)
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
1 teaspoon of cumin
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of olive oil (for frying or brushing if baking)
Optional: 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for added flavor
